Welcome to this week’s Trusted World Network News, where we share stories of hope, impact, and innovation from within the network’s hundreds of North Texas partners.
—The Trusted World Network is growing, and the impact is measurable. Consider this.
Last month, the organization eclipsed the number of resource orders provided for the entire year of 2018. Trusted World provided more than 14 hundred resource orders to its network partners in October. By year’s end, the network estimates it will have supplied upwards of two million dollars in resources, helping more than 16,500 North Texans.
Trusted World provides resources on-demand to school counselors and nonprofit case managers because they, like police officers, are among the first to see signs of situational poverty –and now have the tools to help make a difference.
The Anna Police Department is the latest to join the Trusted World Network bringing the number of North Texas law enforcement agencies to more than two dozen. A spokesperson for the department says
Trusted World equips officers with reliable resources and tools to better help people in the communities they’ve sworn to serve and protect.
“We become law enforcement officers because we want to help.”>>
“Having the ability with our officers to fix a need that’s right in front of them quickly and efficiently is astronomical!”>>
Law enforcement agencies within the Trusted World Network realize the impact, potential, and promise of having quality resources on demand.
“This is one way that we, as police officers, we as human beings, can provide that assistance.”>>
“Trusted World is what law enforcement needs as a partner because law enforcement needs every advantage, every opportunity to showcase the care and compassion the officers have.”>>
Officers say Trusted World resources provide a tangible validation of their commitment to community policing.
“With Trusted World, everyone benefits! What this allows us to do; is build that ultimate trust between the police department and the community.”

North Texas FedEx employees conducted a drive for Trusted World, filling four large bins of much-needed items. They provided hundreds of brand-new packages of underwear, socks, diapers, feminine hygiene products, and toiletries.
FedEx managers say the plan is to get even more involved with Trusted World through donations drives like this, volunteerism, and corporate matching funds.
If you’d like to help make a difference, you can go to TrustedWorld.org, and under the ways to give, click on the Amazon Wish List to find the food and clothing items the network needs.
For clothing donations, one of Trusted World’s key sponsors, the Credit Union of Texas, has dropoff bins in every one of their North Texas branch locations. Next to the bin is a banner with a QR code if you’d like to make a monetary donation. You’ll find a complete list of dropoff bin locations on the Trusted World website.
That wraps up this week’s news from around the Trusted World Network, where you can join us in helping people help people.
