Trusted World is a fast growing organization. The methodology used within our organization is what makes us unique and different. Spending time with us as an intern is a wonderful way to learn more about our organization and how we work. Working with us is a great way to put into practice the techniques that you are learning while giving back to the community that you live in.

We have opportunities in the following areas:

The Social Media Intern will take charge of managing and elevating Trusted World Marketing’s social media presence. These tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Responding to messages on all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr & any other media)
  • Gauging audience receptivity and developing strategies for inspiring our followers and fans to connect and participate in our upcoming campaigns
  • Writing and posting effective, inspiring, and engaging daily content for all of Trusted World Marketing’s social media pages while keeping the voice of the Trusted World Marketing Group online personality.
  • Developing and implementing campaign marketing on all social media platforms
  • Performing Market research for the development of posts, though some content will be provided
  • Engaging with relevant social media trends and popular platforms in expanding and enriching Trusted World Marketing’s outreach
  • Creating a clear monthly Social Media calendar with the language for all social media platforms
  • Maintaining all Trusted World Marketing’s social media platforms ensures each platform is up to date and interconnected.
  • Developing and implementing a system where Trusted World Marketing Group’s community of youth can effectively share upcoming events, campaigns, and content to be featured on our social media pages

The Corporate Advertising intern will produce print advertising and informative handouts to spread the word better about what we do. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Collecting quantitative and qualitative data from marketing campaigns
  • Performing market analysis and research on the competition
  • Supporting the marketing team in daily administrative tasks
  • Assisting in marketing and advertising promotional activities (e.g., social media, direct mail, and the web)
  • Preparing promotional presentations
  • Helping distribute marketing materials
  • Managing and updating company database and customer relationship management systems (CRM)
  • Helping organize marketing events

The Community Relations Intern will perform a wide range of research, writing, event planning, outreach, administrative work, and general support for Trusted World. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching potential donors, strategic partners, sponsors, markets, and potential speaking opportunities
  • Drafting and editing fundraising materials, such as acknowledgment letters, e-blasts, grant proposals, and other communications
  • Supporting the management of donor records and other development materials
  • Assisting with solicitation of event sponsors and in-kind donors
  • Assisting with mailings, filing, and special projects as needed
  • Attending department and staff meetings
  • Attending community meetings on Trusted World’s behalf

Reports To: Janet Sherlip, Development Director

Purpose: Speakers Bureau Volunteers will help spread the message of the important work of Trusted World and our impact on the community.

Responsibilities

  • Attend Speakers Bureau Training
  • Represent Trusted World at a variety of community events by verbally presenting facts about Trusted World’s mission.
  • Attend check presentations and publicly thank supporters and donors. Explain how their support is helping change the way nonprofits work in our local community.
  • Maintain an understanding of the history, mission, and impact of Trusted World.
  • Complete a brief evaluation following speaking engagements.
  • Have fun and help spread the word about how Trusted World is changing the way nonprofits work in North Texas and around the world.

  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups of people
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Willingness to learn how Trusted World operates
  • Timely and dependable
  • Possess reliable transportation
  • Available to attend events during the weekday, evening, or weekends
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Belief in the importance of the mission of Trusted World

Time Commitment: Speakers Bureau volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum of two speaking engagements per year, as opportunities are available.

Volunteer Training: Training will be provided to all interested volunteers. Speakers Bureau training will be offered four times a year.  July -Sept-Jan-March
